Sooo, im in hell again. I updated the windows version and i have again problems with the IDT driver. Last year i was with my laptop at a local service and they told me that its a weird problem and it took them some time to figure it out. They gave me a good IDT driver and they told me to install it manually. It worked very good since now after i updtated windows version.
Now i have again only 'high definition audio' that is installed with windows 10 and the quality and volume is just really bad. When i try to install the driver they gave me (idt) i got a message that 'a device attached to the system is not functionating'. I try updating everything and checking for every kind of errors soo.

I have lost my BeatsAudio, and was told to replace /repair the Driver. Went to HP Support site, these are there Specs: Type: IDT 92HD91 Driver-Audio. THIS IS THE ONLY FUNCTIONAL SOLUTION ON NOV-2017 Hi everyone! I have solved that problem 100% functional with sliders working properly.
So, I have just installed the new Windows 10 compilation, called: 'Fall Creators Update' by ISO two weeks ago. Since upgraded to W10 I had all kind of problems with sound, basic and geberic sound driver; also Beats audio function was not working. I have a envy 20. On HP page for this device, drivers are listed only for W8(Original) and for W8.1. There is a pop-up saying W10 drivers install automatically via Windows Update, but the driver never arrived. The new compliation fixes some problems detecting devices.
The first step was: Install clean image of windows, do not keep programs, but keep user files if neccesary. When windows starts, BEFORE searching for updates, Download and Install a proghram called '3D Chip' 3D Chip is a very useful program that detecs unknown devices on your PC. After installing 3D Chip, look on the Audio section, and it detects a compatible driver for your audio card, it redirects to a download page without ads, and download the.exe file.
So, when it starts has very slow transfer, but try with Internet Download Manager to download in seconds. After that, install the driver and restart the PC. Then, open Settings and Windows Upadte, the last step is wait while Windows Update install an updated IDT driver.:) Now, enjoy whit IDT Beats funcion again! The first step was: Install clean image of windows, do not keep programs, but keep user files if neccesary. That first step alone is simply not worth the time and effort. Who wants to reinstall Windows and reinstall all of one's programs again? In any event, it's not necessary because simply updating the driver should work, depending on the problem one is having.
For me, the Creators update caused the dedicated subwoofer output from my HP Envy 23 PC to stop functioning. 6.10.6435.0 of the IDT High Definition Audio CODEC driver installed prior to the Creators update. After two Creators updates I could not avoid hit my PC, I simply rolled back to the previous non-Creators Windows 10 build. When a third Creators update hit - the Fall Creators update, to be specific - the roll back had a number of problems. I ended up hunting down v.
6.10.6491.0 of the IDT High Definition Audio CODEC driver and installed that. All is fine now (no clean install of Windows or anything else needed).
The download file for the driver is SP66216.exe. It used to be available via FTP from the HP site, but no longer appears to be. A Google search reveals a number of other places from which it can be downloaded, however (and presumably the 3DChip app cited above has it as well). EDIT: to save people from searching for the updated driver, I've shared it publicly via OneDrive.
